Electrical Engineer

Duties

Job based in New York City.  Prepare technical specifications of vertical transportation systems (to include elevator controls, cabs, entrances, fixtures, and design),  for installation,  operations conform to standards and customer requirements and per codes.   Analyze schematics and wiring diagrams, analyze complex problems to troubleshoot root cause for  problems and develop solutions.  AutoCAD design of job specific elevators to include In-Ground Hydraulic, Hole-less Hydraulic, MRL Hydraulic, Overhead Traction (OHT), and MRL OHT for our customers.  Assist the field technicians when assistance is needed in difficult troubleshooting and electrical   repair situations Include troubleshooting, system automation and PLC programming.  Effectively communicate company and installation needs with general contractors, property managers, subcontractors and building owners.  Review, track, log and approve RFI, submittals, estimates, change orders, and pay applications.  Establish and reinforce maintenance and safety procedures, service schedules, and facilities maintenance procedures to maintain machines and equipment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must have B.S. in  Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 4 years (48 months) relevant employment experience.
